BioCote® Anti-Microbial Solution
A recent exclusive agreement has resulted in use of BioCote®’s
anti-microbial silver-based technology to protect the plastic surfaces
surrounding the dispensing areas of Innowave units, acting as a second
defence mechanism after the existing purification measures of
filtration and UV sanitisation, and upgrading hygienic parameters for
Waterlogic products even further.
BioCote®’s
anti-microbial solution is WRAS approved and inhibits the growth of
micro-organisms utilising silver, which acts as a natural
anti-microbial. Silver ions are added to Innowave products at
the manufacturing stage, resulting in an active concentration of silver
ions on the surface of the product. When bacteria come into contact
with this surface, the silver binds to the bacteria and catalyzes an
enzyme breakdown in the bacteria, rendering them unable to reproduce and
further causing them to die.
BioCote® is effective for the life of the product, against a vast range of microbes including:
